hey peoples just wondering what holdens big secret was with the release of the ve apart from the cars themselves if anyone could inlighten me i would greatly appreciate it

In the other threads it was suggested the Caprice was it because it normally comes out a long time after the SWB cars.

i'm guessing the 'secret' was probably the Omega replacing the Execand Acclaim, and the new V-Series models....

Was bloody awesome being at the launch, and ive said it but, and ill say it again. Until you see the car in the flesh, you dont know what your missing out on. The Orange SS-V doesnt even do it justice once u see it in Red with black interior, looks 10000x better and sexier.

I turned around and some news crew stuck a bloody big TV Camera in my face and started grilling me on Everything VE, things that no-one even had answers to yet (like Fuel Economy, feature lists, etc!!!)

yeah i heard the weight was about 70kgs heavier which puts it back to the vt series weight as the cars shed weight up till the vz so it shouldnt be to bad on economy, plus they would have tried to make it as economical with fuel prices, maybe its the multi fuction lcd screens

If the surprise was something worthwhile or better, the general public and media would respond to the surprise and be 'surprised' even if they didnt know one was promised.
If the surprise was something mediocre, the Holden fans would know it was relating to the promise and probably start hyping it up, and nobody else would really care.

But this isn't even as good as that, a promose of a surprise was made, and the fans can't even work out what it is. Everybody should boo Holden for that one. Better to not promise anything and actually surprise people than to hype up something that is really nothing. We can only hope, maybe the VF Commdore will have the hover feauture....
