Grin Factor

Just got my VX SS (346.666) back from APS yesterday and thought id share the experience.
Its a M6 and two weeks ago I had the 3.9 diffs gears fitted via another forum member. I thought it went pretty good after the diff gears and wasnt expecting too much from the edit, maybe just a bit more midrange.

I dropped the car off at APS in the morning for the edit. They also did a full major service and fitted surreflo OTRCAI and when I rocked up in the afternoon to pick it up the thing was detailed as I dropped it off filthy. So I was already impressed.
Before the tune it was 174kw at the rears. And after the EDIT it is now slightly over 238rwkw. Thought it was amazing picking up so much RWKW from a good tune, a credit to Frank and the guys at APS.

On the road the difference in midrange was amazing and it still pulling hard right to 6100. Will have to watch it now because it spins into 3rd in the dry!

The pricing was a lot cheaper than a lot of other tuners around and I am stoked with the result and my teatment from the team down there.

The grin only gets bigger jake! There is so much to be had from an ls1 power wise. I cant believe how restricted they are. When i bought my ute it had already been to a local performance shop for a tune and some difillipo extractors by the previous owner. This came in the numbers of 208 rwkw. I was pretty happy but noticed some funny noises. I took it to Mick and Frank they had a good look at the tune. It turned out the tune that was in it made power but was configured wrong and could have damaged the engine. We decided to go with a mafless tune to clean up the funny noises and maybe gain some power. Holy sh#*T balls. I got bags more power and the funny noises were gone. 247rwkw! And it has stood the test off time. I have flogged it day in day out , calder off street drags , Heathcote park drags and it is still going strong. Im stoked. Happy days
