the closet backspace would be 5.5 inch, some people still get problems with the gaurds rubbibg though.

The 5.5's are ok on a ute unless its lowered. Then they rub but not too much. Some get the guards rolled or fit air bags in the springs.

SS346/uterus,

Are you guys talking about 15x8's with the 5.5" backspace? I'm pretty sure that if you run a 15x7" rim with the 5.5" backspace it should clear the guard...

Yes 15"x7" with 5.5" BS is fine. With 15"x8" on 5.5" BS some people have had the inner guard lip rubbing the tyre on hard launches or if lowered.

where do people find the weld wheels to suit commodore stud pattern.

or have people just been using bigger wheel studs, with the HQ pattern?

with that back spacing will they fit on a vz sedan as well?

You don't need to change the wheel studs on the front. I don't know about the rears as I run steelies on the back with my ute. HQ pattern is fine as there is something like less than 1mm difference between HQ and late model commodore in PCD.

Justin au - yes its the same for a vz sedan as I posted earlier.
