View Full Version : Daylight Savings Time and Perth
Not sure if you can change the settings at all but I posted a message and it showed that the time was an hour ahead. I am guessing that this is due to daylight savings. Not critical at all.

Hello there,
The time that the server runs on should never change as GMT/UTC never changes no matter where you are in the world. There should be an option in user cp where you will be able to change how different you are to GMT/UTC.

I am set correctly for Perth GMT + 8. The time still shows as one hour ahead.

Dude,
Log off the forum...(don't forget your pssword)
Go into - tools - interent options - delete cookies and files.
Log back in and let us know what happens.
Tried clearing Cache, cookies and history, no change still one hour out.
Regional setting for the PC is GMT + 8 for Perth on Windows 2000 Pro.
User Cap the same GMT + 8 for Perth.
I will try from home in an hour and see if that is any different.
Any other Perth guys getting the same?

Boss,
Goto "User CP"
Then select "Edit Password"
There is an option there called "Forgotten password"
Click that and it will email you your current password! ;)

Vamp,
My apologies, you are correct, it is out by an hour. However I think our King Moderator has refused to keep on changing it after someone complained it was an hour out before so it was put out of kilter a while ago. Just go into your CP and change it to +7 hours onto GMT they you'll be OK. Incidentally I work in Melbourne but I have to deal with the Perth time zone, so I am always working late nowadays.
