I know it's not an LS1 but i know a few of you guys are circuit racing fans so i thought i'd throw this on the forum...

Sadly the time has come to sell my beloved little Mazda...

* Series 2 IPRA Mazda RX-7
* Fresh 13B bridgeport by MazSport, 240 rwhp on "soft" tune
* Phil Laird quad throttle manifold
* MicroTech LTX8 (with LTX-10 software upgrade)
* MicroTech dash (brand new, installed last Saturday along with ECU)
* Near new PPG "dogbox" - 1:1 5th gear
* Genuine Mazda 5.1:1 LSD, recent rebuild and very tight
* Custom Harrop style Watts linkage by MazSport / Pro Racing
* Series 6 Mazda RX-7 front calipers on S5 discs
* Bilstein (brand new) shocks
* Sparco Pro 2000 race seat
* Willans 2007 stamped harness
* 6 or 10 ROH Reflex wheels, 15 x 7. (You choose how many you want)

Car has only been run 3 times with old Koni setup (still have them) and the new Watts linkage but managed a string of 1.08's at Wakefield and 1.19's at Oran Park GP.

Since last raced it has had new Bilsteins installed, PPG 'box, the S6 calipers and new custom strut tops allowing up to 7 deg negative camber as opposed to the 4.5 it ran previously. It also has just had a full welded in cross braced cage installed by Pete Cleary of Pro Racing which cost me $3000 at mates rates - it would be one of the best IPRA RX-7 cages i have ever seen.

I have no doubt the car with the latest upgrades will run much quicker with a decent steerer. As an example i took it out for a run at EC last Sunday after having not sat in the car for more than 18 months - did 3 laps with a standard road 'box on 2 1/2 year old tyres and still did a low 1.53 without pushing past 8,500rpm... (Engine built to run to a 10,000rpm limit whilst retaining a decent life span)

This is a proven Top 5 car if you can drive a little, and with the recent upgrades would be super competitive in any State. (NSW has the strongest IPRA grids in Australia)

There are probably a million little extras i have forgotten to add but you get the drift... At this stage the car owes me well in excess of 50k and i'm chasing 23k complete with all spares... Will sell for $18,500 less PPG dogbox.
(The car did consistant 1.09's at Wakefield with the old S4 turbo 'box which will come with the car if you chose to purchase without the dogbox...)

BTW - Improved Production is one of the most popular classes in State level motorsport. We are the fastest class in Australia on radial tyres - the rules limit the RX=7's to a 205/60/15 tyre. Expect the car to go much quicker again if you wanted to throw on some slicks and do supersrints etc...

Cheers,
Paul

Thanks mate... It's a pretty limited market but the car has the runs on the board and all the right stuff to be very competitive... ;)

Worst case if it doesn't sell it can sit in the shed for a couple of years until we get the new business established then go have some fun again...
