Guys iam going to buy a boost controller for my turbo set up.

Just wanted to get opinions on which brand i should go for.

What is easy to use and reliable.

Also i have a 10psi spring in the wastegate, if i add boost controller can i still set it to run 6 psi or am i limited to 10psi as the lowest setting as i have this spring.

Also how long should it take to fit one.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Jim

With a 10lb spring you are limited to 10lb as your minimum. If you want to potter around at 6lb then just get a different spring, all of about $70.

I've heard good reports on the Apexi AVCR and the Turbosmart EBoost2. Apparently the Apexi has more settings which was what I went for. Still to get it setup and working at this stage.

Ebay has the AVCR or there is a guy on boostcruising that has em. They come in Silver or a black limited edition model. Ask mark to let you look at my old one. It should fit in the pocket under the radio nicely or do what sonny did and put it in the sunglasses holder in the roof.

AVCR is the one to go for...
can set any boost in any gear and will hold it with no spiking no matter what the ambient temperature is... also had lots of other setting and features to fiddle with..
