I had a little custom trim done last week, got the lower door trims done, the lower dash and the console bin lid done in flame red suede. I like the way it looks and now want to do my seats and main door inserts in the same Flame suede and a brighter red leather for a bit more of a custom look. However re-trimming my factory leather seats etc would seem like a waste, so I'm looking to do a swap with someone who wants a pair of Redhot leather seats and door inserts(not whole door panel) from a VZ SS ute for their cloth seats and door inserts from a VZ SS ute plus some cash my way...must be electric drivers seat. My car is 3months old with only 3000klms on the clock and these items are in perfect condition. Can supply some pics of my interior if you need to see. Prefer S/E QLD deal for ease, but may consider other if it presents itself.
If your interested, let me know, and we'll go into more depth with it all!

How much would you want for your seats outright? If you would sell them that way that is.

I don't really want to sell them outright, its hard to find front only cloth seats, most are sold as sets with rears. And I don't want to be stuck with no seats for my ute, hence why I want to swap.....but we'll see what happens, I'll get back to you if I decide to sell seperate!

I have a VY II SS Ute and I live in Brisbane. What sort of change over would I be looking at. My seats are cloth just like the ones you show except in black and silver pattern. Cheers.
im on the gold coast i have vy ss ute seats which are the same in cloth, pm me if u want to do some kind of deal,

Beware: another option would be to sell the leather covers off your current seats. I'm pretty sure they can be removed no problems. That way it would be easier to sell them after you've done your re-trim. That way you're re-using your fresh 3000km seat foams, and not someone elses potentially old and deformed foams if they've done lots of km's as the foams do deform over time

Yeah I did discuss that with the trimmer, but the problem is they have to use the skins to make patterns for the new trim, so they would have to unpick and then restitch it all, which could get costly with labour!
Are the VY SS seats the same does anyone know? If they aren't then I'm not wanting to swap for older VY seats....are the VY ones electric adjust, if not, same again.

if someone could post pics of VY SS series 1 and 2 seats then we could see if they are the same!

VY SS Seats are the same. Only the trim pattern is different. Same cushion, same pattern, same seat base.

VY SS series 1 are the older style and the SS II are the new style. BUT, i have seen some series II VY SS with the older style. Not too sure whats the go is. Check out carsales.com and just have a look at various VYs on there. Plenty of interior pics.

Definate difference between VY1 and VY2 seats. The bolsters up near where your shoulders are and different. VY2 and VZ are same however.

So VY2 are th same seat but is the stiching the same if it is, fine, however, if the stitching and pattern is different it may be a problem in that the trimmer needs the pattern from the old trim, so to retrim VY2 seats to look standard VZ it wouldn't be the same style as the VZ seats...get what I'm saying?
What do you guys think would be a fair $cash extra on top of swapping the leather??

Mate, retrim your own seats. For all the Fu$#ing around and headaches, you got 2 perfectly good seats in your car already. Retrim them and be done with it.
