Daily Driver ?:p
My mate looked under the car at the show and said the front sub frame is hacked away to fit the motor and doubts the car would be driveable let alone daily driver its purely a dyno show pony looks good though.

Why not save yourself the $50k on the donor vehicle and just put the engine in a datto 120Y or something :limpy:

What do ya reckon about how close the crowd is on this run. It made 1800 HP but no cage. Too bad if it blew up when the turbos are spinning at massive RPM @ Max boost. :errr:

:yup: Agreed, must be a fair wack of correction and compensation going on with an IAT of 230 !

I know it's similar but I got it in an email and couldn't be bothered cutting it, bit more info for yas.

Thats one sweet lookin ute.

At the Holden vs Ford show this weekend (just gone), Eddy Tassones VZ Commodore ute made 1899rwhp, which is a new world record. The car has a 383 stroker V8 (based on the old Holden 5.0L block) with twin turbos, custom cam and manifold using 40psi and C16 fuel. Apparently they backed off before the redline because the engine was leaning out due to the fact it was not tuned properly (they only put the engine together the day before the event), so it only revved to 6500rpm, and the dyno graph indicates it will keep going. Summernats, here we come.
The dyno sheet below was taken after the second run, the third run was 1898.9rwhp.

Cheers
Scotty

Nice numbers but I can't see how usefull that power would be for everyday driving.

Daily driver, would be a waste of money.

Why would you put a 5L Holden engine into anything newer than a VT1??? Leave it in the VH!
