Gday, i have a webasto hollandia stratos 700 sunroof fitted to my VY1 SS sedan which decided to blow out whilst driving reasonably quick the other day.
I am looking at getting hold of a replacement glass panel and the sliding cover that goes underneath the glass. I also seem to have broken a plastic clip part which stops the sunroof from sliding when it is closed.
Has anyone out there had their sunroof repaired or know where i can get some parts for it? (hopefully somewhere a bit cheaper than going through holden?).
Thanks for any help
Cheers
Benno
Surely thats covered under the warranty? Even if it's 4 years old, I'd expect that to be covered. Sunroofs shouldn't just "blow out", especially a Hollandia, they have a good reputation.

The dealer i bought the car off doesn't want to know about it. The car is just out of new car warranty and has an extended warranty through the dealer which i have been told is only mechanical, so they won't cover a sunroof.

Try and find out who the original dealer got to install the sunroof. I did this when I had rattling problems with my roof and they have been very helpful resolving the issue. The dealer wasn't able to help they just refer you to the installer..

Talked to the manufacturer direct? Im sure they would want to see it as its very rare.

Yeah i spoke to a guy from webasto who was pretty helpful. He did a search on my sunroofs serial number to try and work out its history and who originally installed it. Couldn't find anything on it though so he was thinking it may have been originally installed by holden whom i am yet to talk to.
I tend to think that the sunroof was never actually adjusted properly as it seemed to sit up higher at the front than at the back. Speaking to some people lately, they have said that it should be the other way around.
Anyway it looks like a glass panel from the manufacturer is going to cost around $900 plus the other bits i need which were bent or damaged. So a warning for people whose sunroofs aren't adjusted properly, don't drive excessively fast.
