Monaro to Pontiac GTO Conversion

Below are some pics of my almost complete GTO conversion.
I thought I would try something different and I'm pretty happy with the results. I know this front end splits opinion but I really like the more agressive look and think it suites the Purple Haze colour well.

The grill inserts are part of the new '06 Pontiac sports appearance pack offered as an aftermarket add-on via US Pontiac dealers.

Thanks to Sheens panel's in Malvern and Nick at NVU for their help getting this to all come together.

not to bad, still not my cupper tea, but if u like it thats the main thing, just one thing there looks to be a pretty big gap between the bonnet and the grill does the gto have a different bonnet line to fix that gap or is that how it is

gotta say those rims are bloody good on all monaros, and i do like that paint colour

Looks great just send me over the Monaro parts so I can convert my GTO to a Monaro.You should have used the 05-06 hood with the scoops but it still looks great.Really like the grill inserts on it.:headbang:Are you going to take off front side marker lights and put on 6.0 pontiac badges?

There is a reasonable gap and looking at other '04 GTO's this looks kind of normal. I have looked at the bonnet on the '05/06 but they don't seem to have any difference. Some cars have a smaller gap but I'm not exactly sure what the solution is. I'm pretty happy with it as it is anyway, but would be open to suggestions if there is a way to address this.

I have removed the side marker lights and added the 5.7 GTO badges - the 6.0 ones would look a little silly on a LS1!

Haze, Did you also have your system check (dash readout welcome note) changed to US. ie. the Chev logo comes up on startup?

Hi Tonner,
I didn't bother although it is a nice touch. I didn't want to touch the interior as doing the airbag cover etc was just too much messing around (not to mention $'s!)
