Brisbane Ekka, Will there be any VEs?

Last time I went to the ekka, the big car manufacturers were there with their cars. Holden, ford, toyota etc.

I was wondering if anyone has been there this year and seen VEs or knows whether there will be any?

I need something to make up for the girlfriend dragging me through that place all damn day :/

I saw the same ones, there was a red VE SS in the middle! I nearly wrote the BA XT I was in off as it went past LOL! :eyes:

Damnit! I had a feeling that i'd be missing out if I went to the ekka today because of the Aug 14 thing.

And whatta ya know? There were 3 VE's there, BUT THEY WERE UNDER BLUE CAR COVERS!!! I was sooo disapointed!

There appeared to be an Omega, SS (or SV6) and a LWB model of some description.

Even under wraps they had a presence over the billion and one VZ they had there.

Holden in south melbourne have a red VE SS sitting out the front in the lot on stands.

Zupps at Browns Plains has them in the show room. Couple of SS's, Omega and 1 other. Saw them through the window yesterday

I saw an SV6 on a car carrier while going down the ICB this morning - I nearly ended up in the backside of a Ford Laser..

Talk about one very nice looking machine! Now time to call Zupps and fall in line for a test drive.

That doesn't surprise me. There was a bloke there patrolling the Holden area and kept eyeing me off every time i fiddled with my camera when i was near the VE's. Went as far as standing in front of me to seemingly block the camera.

So I made it look like i was trying to fix it and waited till his back was turned and took some pics of the oh so secret covered up VE's lol.

Zupps at Aspley have pretty much the whole VE range (minus the statesman of course) uncovered and parked down the side at the moment. I was there on Saturday and had a really good look over them all and nobody questioned me.
