Looks great Vulture, wheels look great but too bloody hard to clean for me ... lucky it's your car :D

How good are Harrops, I have the same ones on my SS, stock brakes feel quite scary in comparison :yup: Love your work, very nice

Thanks for the comments. Might look at doing the heads or forced induction but then might also leave it as alone as will probably update in a few years. Wheels aren't that bad to clean! I suppose the secret is to not allow them to get too dirty before cleaning. The new brakes make a lot more dust, though. Brakes are what should have been on there from the start.

Amazing how many people who have had a decent set of brakes find it hard to go back to standard shit.
It also amazes me how many people spend thousands of dollars on thier motors to make em go faster but insist on using he same factory shit brakes that are barely up to the task on stock powered cars. Holdens are a prime example.
Same brakes fitted to the exec as what is fitted to the SS and the much larger and heavier statesman/caprice models..

Yep, the way I see it is that it is all part of the overall package of doing up the car. The standard brakes are OK for a single application from speed but do it again and you're in trouble and that funny smell starts. The side benefits of the Harrops are the excellent feel and reduced pedal effort. They are a pleasure to use all the time.

Thanks, there are times that I would like a simpler open design like the ROH Modenas but I can't really justify spending more money on another set of rims so I can change them with the seasons - or can I?

Also coming is the Eclipse AVN6000 all in one DVD/CD/SATNAV double DIN unit with a speaker upgrade. Pics when it is fitted.

New addition to the specs list above:

Just had some Dart heads fitted, oversize SS valves, increased compression and a Powerbond 25% UDP.

SOTP is of a more 'alive' and torquey LS1. Ballistic acceleration even from 110km/h! Dyno figure soon but I have faith in Powertorque that the dyno result will be irrelevent once the improvement have been verified on that most unforgiving of testbeds - Willowbank.

Update: now making 292rwkw with a twin three inch exhaust. Ran a 12.05 recently (with old exhaust). GenTT kit to be fitted in the next few weeks. Don't ask why...'cause I don't know.

Thanks Highlander. PT are confident that I should have a safe but ballistic package to hand. I am hoping for around 390-400rwkw. I'll be putting back the 3.46 diff that I have to make it a great highway cruiser.

When do we get to see some pics of the "Custom Powertorque intake arrangement"? Sounds very interesting.

Not a great deal to see from the top but you can see how it looks from underneath. It has made a HUGE improvement. Waiting on dyno figures to confirm.

This is a large (3") bend with a huge expanded area just after the bend to make up for the 45 degree change. Can't really see it clearly in this pic. The intakes now sit in cool air under the guards.

This pic from under the front guards.

This does require a little more cutting of the metal but what the hell, in for a penny...
Thanks to TUNA for the filters.

Thanks, yes that's the plan. I wasn't after a quarter mile screamer and nothing else but an overall package.

So how does it go? :)

Bloody sensational! Really responsive and mind-bending power when you want it. I probably won't be needing the bigger turbos at this stage. The other option was to decompress the heads with some standard but ported ones and then run the KKR380s but if I achieve 500rwhp then I will settle for that (for now...).

So when are we having the daily street driven sub 11 sec challenge? Auto head and cammed Gen-TT versus the manual standard Gen-TT. LS1 Drag Nats would be nice and I do believe there is still a spot for you.

Soon but still a few little things (like the gearbox actually has to be fitted etc.). Head and cam is not really an advantage either...

It's a standard double DIN sized unit so it would fit in most double DIN dashes. You'll have to ask Sonny from Marranos (forum sponsor) if it was hard to fit as he fitted his own in this thread (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=67719&highlight=AVN6000), I'm too lazy to do it myself - plus I'd probably fry it. I think RRP on the AVN6000 is $3499. It also does iPod, DVD, etc.
