Mrs coming out of work next door to Holden HQ saw two interesting cars. She's not good on describing 'bits' but the first was a HSV limited Coupe black/silver stipes. She said it took off up the road like a bat out of hell.
The second was a metallic green car, UAM590, left-drive two door car (she often sees Chev Luminas including a Lumina S coupe with V6 badges and Pontiac GTOs so left drive isn't unusual down there). I was thinking Camaro mule, but it had no car-bras. Two pipes, one either side. Definitely wasn't a Monaro or HSV, she said.
I was struggling to think what it might be but then she said it had a big round GT chrome badge on the boot and two lots of squarish taillights and it hit me - Mustang.
Holden was supposed to be benchmarking the Camaro against it. Maybe the Camaro is a bit more advanced than anyone thought?
