Just thought I would pass the link on to anyone who might be spending a lot on their fuel.

Its an annual fee of $79 and of course the main thing is that you get 5% off fuel and purchases at BP.

You also get a $50 pre-paid card when you start up.

I dont really pour weekly so I cant save that much but if you were to pur every week say $75, in the month thats $300 (rebates are limited to the first $300 per statement month anyways), you would save $15. So really the maximum you can save a year is $180. Minus the $79 fee and thats $101 for the year saving. Add in the first year the bonus $50 card and were at $151.

You also save 1% on purchases anywhere else but how annoying and tedious would it be to do the paperwork for a 1% rebate form on something you bought for a $100!

Later on BP and Citibank will apparently offer you better offers with BP fuel and etc. It would be nice to get one now and maybe see a higher discount later on or more frequent pre-paid cars given out.

There's no rewards or frequent flyer package with this card.

Not much of a saving when you do the maths but just thought id point it out to whoever may be interested and no I dont work for BP or for Citibank!

Cheers.

At the end of the balance transfer offer period your interest rate will revert to the standard interest rate of 17.95%p.a., which is variable, subject to change and Citibank's credit criteria.

All very well if you pay your bill off everymonth otherwise you lose your savings with the 17.95%

If you're in the market for a new Holden the Holden Mastercard is much better. Effectively a 10% discount on everything as you get a 10% rebate towards the cost of a new Holden on everything you put on it.

I saw this the other day and was initially excited but then read the fine print.
I'm never paying a membership fee for a credit card ever again so stuff the BP card - got to be some benefits from being in a professional association (no annual fees). Interest rate on the BP card is a shocker too. Credit cards=most expensive money around. Don't get caught out with owing money each month!

Ive always seen it but never looked into it but that does sound very good!

I myself have said that I wont ever pay an annual fee for a credit card, got a Virgin credit card at the moment with no fees and I guess $150 doesnt just cut it for this one.

Do that many ppl really hold off paying their interest on their cards for that long? Ppl say oh this card is only 10% and im like I dont care, is it for free? Im amazed by it, Ive never let my card gain interest, always pay it off on time, its amazing the debt this population is in with these bloody cards.

I don't care what the interest rate is on the Holden card as we have a line of credit mortgage and always pay the cards off in full each month (line of credit = only way to go!).

I rack up a $3,000 rebate every year easily and that's even with my wife putting most of her purchases (eg. all our groceries) on her (bloody pathetic) Fly Buys card instead of Holden card.

I'm with you Wonky

Line of Credit is like an even bigger credit card (so you gotta have self control!) but we wack everything we can on the Visa each month, pay it off in full and get "free" money to spend at DJ's on presents for x-mas etc.

No running off to the bank to extend your mortgage, redraw etc.
