monaro passenger sun visor - feedback from chicks.

got a VZ monaro, a frequent complaint I get from female passengers is that there is no mirror on the passenger side sun visor, I don't know why chicks need to do there makeup in the car but whatever. Is there a proper monaro passenger sun visor that has the mirror?

I have noticed they are on the regular VZ calais, berlinas etc but not on the Monaros and HSV's. go figure.

I have owned a 2002 monaro and now I have a 2005 cv8z and both have mirrors in the sun visors as standard. The monaro is basically a 2 door calais,AFAIK

My VX Monaro has mirrors (with lights) on both sides...

My '04 CV8 had the mirror in the visor, as does my 06 GTO.

Time for a trip back to the dealership??

Mirror with lights on mine as well. Never heard of a "factory new" Monaro without it. Sounds like someone swapped them over before you got it. Did you buy new or used?
The standard Commodore version has a slide across cover, the Calais/Monaro one has a hinged cover.

No..my VZ SS has the slide across mirror on the back of the passenger side visor. It must have been a Monaro only thing.....disappeared along with the boot.:moon:

I've never owned a Commodore that didn't have a mirror on the passenger side.

The GTS has a snazzy one with two lights when you open the flap, but even the pov pack SS has one.

all monaro's i've seen have the mirrors..

don't all commodores have them standard ?

Agreed... even my VX Commodore Exec had one :). The my 06 GTO has the passengers side mirror, and seeing as the VZ Monaro is the donor car (afaik) i can't see why purple's CV8Z wouldn't have the mirror unless some sh!twittery has gone on.

My VY Clubsport has a slide covered mirror on the passenger side, I was sure that all monaro's had the "upper model" type mirror with the lights etc?

Yes, I can say that I have never seen a Monaro without the flip down mirror cover, with the airbag warning, and lights. Same as the Calais etc.

Personally I would take it back to the dealership and ask them about it as it all sounds very dodgy.

P.S. You are making sure that there isn't a mirror under a cover aren't you. Just want to make sure before you storm back to the dealership and look like an idiot when he goes out to the car and flicks the cover up. :p

Yep, my series 1 GTO (2002) has mirrors and lights on both sun visors, with fold up covers.
Never seen a munro without them.

I was really surprised, apparently this sort of thing happens at dealerships all the time, I have a mate who works at a Holden Dealership and they swap out parts for customers all the time, said if someone wants a particular seat from another car they'll swap the interior etc in the workshop if it makes them the sale!
