Hey all,
Looking at getting my exhaust soon and i was having a debate with a bloke at work. I was looking at a twin 3 inch system running of a nice set of headers but he said that would "over exhaust" the car. he said a 3 inch single or 2.5 inch twin max! can you over exhaust a car?
cheers

Yes you can "over exhaust". I would not consider a 3 inch twin unless the car was at least cammed and maybe had head work. What other mods do you have?

Simply... Yes you can..
Unless going to a cammed, Head and cammed, blown, or stroker.. a twin 3" will be over-kill.
I currently run a twin 2.5" on my cammed car, and that is quite adaquete at the moment....
Future mods, may require a larger system :)

HM Headers and Perry Exhaust have recently become a sponsor I think.
Might pay to contact them ?:D

As above dual 2.5 or single 3 will give good power right through the range plenty of cars here with these not being held back, leave the dual 3's for big setups.

A single 3" offers little more flow than a twin 2 1/4" setup found on VYII from factory. It will have some gain in the low to mid range but will suffer up top. A twin 2.5" or single 3.5" are you best options. ;)
