View Full Version : 245/35 or 235/35 on 19s?

I just ordered some new 19" wheels for my CV8 and the HSV label stuck on the box states that only 235/35 tyres should be fitted to clear suspension geometry and the like. Is that right?

My brother just got 19s on his VX SS and the tyre shop fitted 245/35 tyres. I would have thought they'd have half a clue and I'm pretty sure they aren't rubbing on the VX (yet).

I didn't think the 235/35 were that common?

Has any one experienced problems with a 245/35/19 profile tyre rubbing with FE2 suspension?

I got 245/35/19's on my ute and its lowered to the tops of the tyres. No problem with the suspension but did have to massage the rear guard lip slightly for a rub.

245's will fit fine and don't rub with standard suspension
