Tried to search for an answer, but many posts were unclear. Some say yay, some say nay.

I'm need an answer!!

If and when i remove the rear holden badge off my VY1 SS ute, will i be left with holes or are the badges just stuck on??

Some one who has done it and knows 100% would be great.

Because i'm planning on having no badge and just leaving the "ss" on if there is no holes.

Cheers

hey mate

on the back on the tailgate you will be left with a little retangular hole and a small circle hole, both very close to each other

there is nothing behind the ss.

does that go for the same as series 2 VU ss ute?

Thanks for that ToyLS1.

I was hoping for no holes so i could have no badge but oh well.

Might consider a really small chev badge that'll just cover the holes.

Don't wanna go for anything too big and tacky.

Cheers mate

Sure does mate, you can remove the SS and Series II, but the middle Lion badge has holes behind it (same tailgate for VU-VZ utes...)

Googers,
Toyls1 is right but it dosent cost that much to weld and repaint tailgate. When I dinted mine I had it done for $220

Is that 220 for fixing the dent and the holes from the badge...?

I have a dent i need fixed, and want to get rid of the badge also.

i removed th badge on my vu2 and found the two little holes. i removed the badge becaused i reckoned it was way too big and looked tacky. i ended up using a wagon tailgate badge to cover the holes. its heaps smaller.

No. If its a decent dent and depending on where it is noone will touch it. I sourced a new tailgate and got him to weld and gring the holes before he painted it. If you know someone in the smash business the cheaper it is. Good luck
