View Full Version : VZ Run Out Sale?
Guys
I tried the saerch button, so if this has been asked then I apologise, but does anyone know if and when there will be a VZ run out sale?
I just found out I am getting a company car :bravo: (fingers crossed its a commodore and not the falcon, but since I am not paying for it I won't be too shattered), so thinking of selling the Wife's run about VR and my Clubby and updating to something newer and flasher for her.
I am still in two minds whether to but another 8 or just get a 6 (remember I won't be driving it much anymore) and I can always get another V8 when things settle down (ie just married, and just built a new house). I don't want this to turn into a "stay with the V8" thread. :soap:
I scored pretty well when they VT runout was on for the VX's. Surely the VZ run out is not far away.
Anyway, any info you guys can offer will be appreciated.
Cheers
Brad

39k for a VZ ? I went to the VE expo on the weekend 48k gets you into an SS. I'd save an extra 10k and get me a VE

Whatever ... "Rebadged SV8" as you call it is still better than the VZ SS, the SS-V is even better again. Prices are similar, car is in another league altogether.
:yup:

NickS, you sound like me and are very tired of all this SS is just an SV8. It has been covered many times in different threads and there is absolutely no doubt for the same money you are getting a much better car.

After driving a couple of VE's for about 100km's on mixed roads - there is no way i would even consider a new VZ unless it was MEGA cheap, because the difference is HUGE
I'm in a similar posiiton - Wifes runabout VP is getting a bit so-so and I am either going to wait until VE's hit the auctions in 6 months time or grab a ~50km VYII acclaim for her soon, 2nd hand VZ's are still worth too much money for what they are but that will change when VE hits the 2nd hand market

Very good point. I might just sell my Clubby now and leave on the money in my offset account until the VE's become available in the second hand market.
Second hand VE Calais might just be what the doctor ordered. Anyway, the VR will be good for another 10,000 - 20,000k and I am not going to lose too much on it in another 6 months.

Anyone in sydney wanna buy a V8, whatever it may be, Clubby, Senator, SS etc etc. Holden in Windsor is usually 5 - 10k cheaper then the sydney dealers... All my Babies were bought from windsor just for the fact they have less overheads in that dealership and hence they can have a bigger bargaining margin... TO HELL WITH PAYING RETAIL !

You can't loose much more when its worth nothing already :p
Bust seriously waiting for around 5-12 months is probably a good idea, getting a demo or low Km VE sounds like a great idea!

AussieTone,
I live in Brisbane and almost signed a deal on a brand new 2006 VZSS. I managed to get Armstrong Holden and Eagers at Newstead haggled down to $39990 driveaway with 1600kg towbar, this was for a silver manual sedan. It really wasn't that hard, i didn't have a trade though. Go and visit some dealers now is the time to buy a runout vz. The 2006 model has the L76 leather trim and 18' wheels as standard all this for around $40000 driveaway is good going.
The only reason i didn't go through with it, was because we are going on a three month o/s holiday and probably couldn't afford it (or so my missus told me!!!)
