I've had pacemaker tri-y on my VYSV8 for two years now and haven't had any problems with them. Good sound, economy and makes decent power on the dyno. I think they were $1190 fitted if memory serves.

sorry guys I know its V8 talk that you guys are on about but would anyone have any idea what sort of headers may be around for the SV6...or is it a waste of time and money to make it breath a little better

My choice between the two would be pacemaker.I'm using pacemaker 1 3/4" 4 to 1's.

been using a 2nd hand set of genie tri-y's for about a year now - no probs here. Horses for courses. There nothing wrong with either really, it just seems pacemaker seem to get a bigger chunk of the market.

That's because Pacemaker are a cheaper brand without Genies well earned reputation....

I got a set of Genie Tri-Ys installed on my VTLS1. I think They set me back about $600 in March. Rob Bliss at Geebung did them for me. Im very happy with the pickup down low and the audible V8 note over 2000rpm.

Hi i had fitted HM headers along with their Perry exhaust sytem to my VZ SV6.....Well worth it and a lot more gruntier.
Not to mention a really nice note now compared to standard.

They'e a forum sponsor as well.

Thanks 4 that. I'd be interested in seeing how the ve sv6 would go with the headers only and keep the twin system it now has. have driven the ve sv6 and the note doesn't sound to bad as is

I would also like to know what the advantages are of going to either of these two headers over the standard HSV headers?

Thanks.

I've had pacemaker tri-y on my vy r8 for two years now and haven't had any problems with them. Good sound, economy and makes decent power on the dyno. I think they were $1100 fitted if memory serves.

lol!!

Anyway... FFH, I've always had good experience with Pacemakers. Post up a 'before and after' dyno figure (if you do one) when you get the exhaust fitted. I'd be interested to know, as an exhaust will be the first mod I do to my VX (when I get it!). Cheers.

It's not all in dyno figures, A set of the right size tri-y's will make a mild engine a far nicer street performer than bigger 4 into 1's.

Up until recently I had a set of HSV VY Series 2 headers fitted. They are generally accepted as the best HSV headers around and are 4 into 1’s.

I had them swapped over for a set of Pacemaker Tri y’s and the difference was amazing. The car was much more responsive in the low to mid range. It was like a new vehicle. If I ever get the opportunity to go down the modification road again I would go straight to the Pacemaker Tri y’s
