Hi Guys, this is Dave from Canada! I am building a 402 with AFR heads for a customer and we're using the Harrop intake and sheetmetal valvecovers.

My question is would a tall cover clear the intake? Here's a pic of the cover:

Or do I need a short sheetmetal cover. I'd rather go tall but if it interferes with the intake then no problem...

Thanks!

Dave

If you're talking about the harrop hurricane and you're wanting to use the plastic intake pods, then there is no chance of them fitting. They barely fit with the stock rocker covers.... Have a look at mine below and that should tell you more.

If you were to fit a taller rocker cover and remote mount the coil packs on the front chassis rails then all should be OK

Dave,
I have a 2004 GTO with a 408 and the ETP 245 heads with the Harrop intake over in the US. The shop I work with custom fabricated the airboxes and an intake for me on top of the Harrop that seals directly up to a cowl induction hood. I would give them a call and they shouldn't have a problem helping you out with the boxes and fabbing you up some as well.

These guys have been building high end Vipers body panels for years so I wouldn't worry about qaulity. Their name is Autoform Development and can be reached at 1.616.392.4909 These guys probably have the most experience with the 8TB intake in the US right now.
