In Brisbane for a day, where's a good drive.

Flying in Sunday morning (6am) to pick up a new ride, a VN SS Group A with my lovely understanding wife.
Never been to Brissy before so any nice scenic routes, about 200kms? that will blow the cobwebs out would be great, any ideas?
Then it's onto the truck and into the bird we go.
Another good car goin' west.

Did you buy that one from carsales ? About 38,000km on the clock ?

On the drive go down to the Gold Coast and up into the hinterland. Very nice scenery there !!! If that is the car then isn't it down near the Gold Coast ?

Or on the sunshine coast go up to Maleny and Montville. Awesome up there too...

Yes mate, thats the one, 35 000 kms on it, still on the original front tyres! The car is about 20kms east of Brissy, north looks good, yeah Bald Knob, what's with that?

Head through to Lansborough (past Australia Zoo) and then up the hill to Montville (They have nice lunches at the Montville pub). Then go back down through Palmwoods etc. (imagine from McPhillamy to forest elbow on Mt Panorama and that's kinda what it's like only much much longer). Great Drive......... :party:

Or for a slightly shorter drive. Try Tamborine Mountain, Go up via the Oxenford Tamborine road, and down by the Waterford TAmborine road.
When you get up to the top, stop at the eagle heights tavern for a look at the view (if nothing else) and on the way down stop at the bearded dragon for lunch. Should take about 2 hours if you dont 'look at the view' for too long.....
