WM Caprice design

Hi,

At any stage in the design process, was consideration given to traditional Caprice design cues such as the chrome vertical bar grill and the stand-up bonnet badge?

Also, did the short bonnet cause any concern in regards to the overall proportions of the car? I would have thought a longer bonnet would have been preferable.

Well in regards to the Bonnet badge and the verticle chrome grille, those features were both dropped from the Caprice when it was shifted to a "Prestige Sports" model a few years a go.

And its not really the length of the bonnet that is terribly shorter, just the over hang in front of the wheels.

Shorter front overhang means the engine sits further back in the engine bay, behind the front wheels, giving the car almost 50:50 weight distrubution and improving the handling of the car
