Sorry for hijacking the thread but dose anybody no of anyone that makes custom gilmer harmonic balancers as I dont have to worry about interference with knock sensors ETC because I a using a MOTEC ECU
I have recently done a toothed-belt kit for driving an experiental supercharger we have been playing with on an LS2.
We could do a non-supercharged production version if enough interest was shown/committed. A complete pulley kit using a Gates PowerGrip GT3 belt would probably cost ~$2500.

Thanks for the reply Ken I am still trying to make my mind up wether to go for a 8 rib setup or custom gilmer style (why start watching the $$ now) drive belt for my vortech supercharged LS1 Corvette motor in my Cobra which uses a different off set on the harmonic balancer to the Commadore.
Did you find any advantages/problems with the tooth belt setup? other than no slippage
I was using our 8-rib upgrade kit before the toothed belt, and was not sure if we were getting any slippage. Fitted the toothed belt and it made very little difference to the response which indicates we were not getting much slippage, if any. We have since upgraded our DAQ to accept a laser-rpm-sync so we can be more absolute, however it will be some time before I can check it.

Thanks Ken
I think I will just go with the 8 Rib from what you are saying I would'nt gain much with the toothed set up except for a lighter wallet
