anyone used Australian Performance Centres (APC Enhancements) in Myaree, West Perth or Wangara?? Im considering using them for my engine, diff and suspension work, but would like to hear from people who have used them before. I have a mate who got some extractors and exhaust for his 01 rodeo and it sounds mint. Anyone else used them, if yes, how was the service, price and quality of product. Anyone know any other places they would highly recommend to work on my barge?
Thanks guys

Went to APC Myree 2 days ago to get a price on doing my diff..... $$$ no thanks..
Much cheaper elsewhere... WA Diff Centre, whom others on here have stated do a great job, in O'Connor for starters.

Chipmaster for the edit :)

i really like the service and the guys at APC.
they are reasonably priced and know there stuff. wide range of stuff and they have good partners for diff, gearbox, brakes, etc that they use.

i have some prices for some work i am going to do on my new clubbyr8 but am a bit strapped for cash at the moment so hopefully in a month or two should be able to do some stuff with them

I had my extractors and custom 2.5inch sytem done there, happy with the power the system put down on its first dyno run(270rwhp exhaust only). Definately recommend them for exhaust work

WA Diff centre is cheaper and for some its better because of the location.

Chipmaster are known for there edits if that is what you want but APC is more of a one stop shop...you can do your exhaust, extractors, CAI, etc, and get the edit done too. you can have car put on dyno before and after mods to see the improvements which is always a good thing.

APC have sound gaurentee on there exhaust so if your not happy with sound they will play with mufflers and ressi to make sure it sounds how you want it once you buy the system from them

its personal preference at the end of the day.
there is also a mob called WA Performance which i have heard good stuff about.
if you drop past dont expect a sign of "WA Performance" like i did...looked up and down the street for ages and eventually called them and they are called Leederville Service or something

Leederville Auto Care

Im suss on the APC centre in Wangara purely coz of all the SS Inductions advertising/product display they have heehee. Zorst work would prob be ok, but if you want things like edits etc, then take it to people who you can trust and not gamble on.
ie - tuna, chipmaster etc

the SS inductions stuff is legacy stuff from when they used to be a one place shop in wangara under the D&T Performance banner...

all i can vouch for is there exhaust & extractor work....seen and heard it on a couple of hsv's i know and they sound awesome and the power gain is good too.

i will be doing a list of stuff, like i said, in a month or so with them so i will be able to experience it first hand myself but based on the way i and a few others i know have been treated by them i dont see how you could go wrong.

definatly go with Street Quick Performance for the tune.
They didnt have the fastest ls1 in the country for a period time for no reason.
Wa diff center is good to they gave me good price and service on gears for my torana.
have herd good things about wa performance but they have no dyno so i wouldnt go there for a tune....

For my 2c ill say that APC look like a very shmick setup. But the quotes Ive got from them puts them in the expensive slot. Not to say ya wouldnt be happy with the quality of work the do they use really good gear especially for exhausts. Ive talked to them and they are really in the know and seem like a good crew its just the $$$ keeps me away.

Yes Leederville Auto Care is the same business as WA Performance, both are trading names of their company. They are currently scouting for a new premises and then I guess they will go under the new signage. No, WAPerformance dont have a dyno but all their cars are dynoed at T& R Greens in Beckenham, one of the best dyno operators in Perth.

All they do is offer a service to the guys who run LS1/LS2's that want to use Street Tuna to tune their cars, they mod them and they are tuned by Martin and Mark from LS1edit.com.au/Doughboy AutoPerformance.......

Its clear that the results from both WAPerformance and the LS1edit.com.au/Doughboy AutoPerformance camps speak for themselves.

I've had some quotes for zorst from APC and compared to others much more expensive. Check out the forum sponsors, I can vouch for WA Perf, they have pricing to suit every budget and they know their stuff and most importantly don't exagerate any gains and offer only real expectations. They'll do most mods and supply all the better quality gear which you see on this forum.
So go see Mitch and Deb they can put you on the right path.

When I was phoning around exhaust shops about some Genie shorties, APC were very quick to tell me how they wouldn't work and that they were too short to do the job, and I needed some longer headers blah blah blah...

BUT, interestingly they hadn't done any testing on these to substantiate their claims either!

Also the pricing on the options they did offer me was outrageous. How does $300 to replace a pair of centre mufflers with a pair of hotdogs sound? :weirdo:

They may do quality work, but it sounds to me that you will be paying through the nose for it. If it was my hard earned I definitely would be looking elsewhere.

+1 for SQP and Chipmaster.
Dont just phone around, get out and talk to the guys and see whats in the workshop. Head and cam, built motors, 427's, forced induction, tunes, SQP and Chipmaster have been developing, driving and racing LSX's for 5 or 6 years.

Do not go to APC Wangara formally known as D & T Performance, formally known as Blueprint Engine Centre, formally known as Uncle Sams Mechanical repairs, there are lots of other options make them your last.

Chipmaster and Street Quick Performance have always given me the right advice and service try them and you will feel like this:woohoo:,

Good chance if you deal with APC Centre Wangara you will feel like this :cussing: :soap: :flipoff: :vpo: :flamin:  :banghead: as i did when i had dealings with them with one of their past companies.

5.7heaven,

In my mind, i would stay away from APC, formally known as D & T, unless they have changed their ways???
When i first dealt with them, i was a really lucky f@#ker as i got to drive their black D & T VU SS Ute that had the auto trans modified. That thing shifted worse than a stock holden auto box! Sounded awesome though, but the jolting gears pissed me off! If i put my foot down, the arse end would of been smoking bigtime & i would of been all over the place!
They were also big on the SS Induction shite, but not to sure anymore?
If they have changed their ways, then i'll have to eat my words!

I'm sure that the 2 Perth sponsers can give you anything that you want done to your beast at a good price. Or you can go & see Bill Lee in ozzie park & he'll rip money from the depths of your arsehole!!!

My advice, do your own research & ask plenty of questions.

Justin

I'll second that...

And I am sure there are plenty of others who can testify that they have been burnt by Bad Boy Billy...

Don't go there EVER...

I used D&T Wangara to fit a short shifter and modify my aftermarket exhaust on my VY and a full stainless exhaust for my VS. On these instances I found them to be well priced and the service was excellent. I could not complain about anything.

Although I have not been a customer of WAPerf yet, on the few occasions that I have spoken to them I have been 'highly' impressed. I have also used Bill Lee, pricey yes, but I have never had anything to complain about or needed to return the vehicle. And, on a few occasions small jobs have been completed for free ( replacing link pins/ moving exhaust tips ....) so I guess this makes up for the higher prices...

I reckon WA performance as well. Ive had a couple of mates go though them though. I havent made use of there services although they come highly recomended. Mitch is a great bloke with heaps of experience in LS1's. At the least I reckon You should have a yarn.

Another vote for WA Peformance. They have always supplied only the best information to me and their work is ALWAYS top notch. Give them a call. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, I know I was.

Thanks for everything Mitch.
