View Full Version : Help Needed (Fixing a scratched Mag)

18 months with my VZ R8 and not one scratch on any wheel untill last week lol

i crunched the right front mg preety bad against a gutter :doh:

i was just wondering if any one has any tips in trying to fix it, like can u get it repaired or anything like that.

I think these threads are to do with places in Melb. but it's certainly possible to get rims repaired/touched up.

hey mate....the only real way to get the scratch fixed is to take it somewhere.....there are places that can fix it up for around $70 a wheel just call around u will find something....

I had a look at this a few months ago on a scratch that I got. The cheapest quote I got was about $200 per wheel. Not worth it in my opinion. Let me know if you find that dealer that will fix them for $70. Can't remember the name of the companies I called. Sorry

Have had 2 of the monaro rims done at this place. They did a fantastic job - but do need the rim for 2-3 days. Cost was $220- per rim (back in Jan 05).

In Adelaide there is a place that does them for around $70ea as well. You need to give them the wheels without tyres though... So you cant just give them the car...

has anyone used virgin at kings park??? I have a VX GTS original wheels that need doing badly. Not sure if they do complete re chroming though but uncertain about repairing them?????????

Mate they did a fantastic jb on my CV8 rims - but these are pretty easy to repair, because they are all one colour. Cost was approx $200- per rim & includes a wheel balance. They will need the rim for 2-3 days though..
