As some of you may be aware I had a spinal implant operation in late June. As a result I am forced into selling my pride and joy VY SS Manual due to the ongoing problems I have in using the clutch.

I have tried advertising the car on the forum but unfortunately to date have not even had a nibble. As a result I have decided to remove all the ‘good bits’ off her before trading her in. I will be offering these items for sale via the forum but the first priority is to remove them.

This is where I am asking for help from any Brisbane member to help me remove theses parts. When I say help, I really mean for them to do the majority of the work as I am still not allowed to lift over 2kg and am not supposed to lift my arms over my head etc.

I have the PBR Performance Brake kit fitted which I want to remove and replace with my standard brakes. I also want to remove the Pacemaker Tri Y’s and Redback cat back exhaust. I have the original factory cat back to replace but will have to try and pick up a cheap set of factory cast iron headers + the engine pipe that runs from them to the front of the cats. (Anyone got these lying around they don’t want, or know where I can get a cheap set from, cheap being the operative word).

I have the OTRCAI to remove but can at least do that myself. Also have the complete 3.9 diff centre to remove but can’t do that until I find someone with a 3.46 who wants to swap plus cash my way (cheap upgrade for someone, much better than paying about $1200 to change your ratios).

Few other bits and pieces like my series 2 HBD performance steering wheel but major items are brakes and exhaust.

Don’t know how I could repay any volunteers for their time. I could keep the brews coming, provide some cold beverages for after work, provide lunch etc. To sum up, I need help, someone with some spare time and above all the technical knowledge to do these jobs (I don’t have that). Also, I only have basic tools and 1 pair of el cheapo stands.

I am even prepared to pay for the job if someone wants to quote me for it.

Sorry for such a long winded post but I hope I have explained it for you.

There was a thread by maori boy talking of getting a few ppl together to install his cam. Perhaps if you came along there'd be a few helpful hands around to take care of it for you?
There was talk of doing it out at Wacol, so all we have to do is yell out "I need some help to strip a car" in the general direction of Inala, and there'll be 50 blokes there in no time :lmaqo:

pm sent and thanks for extending the offer. Are there any members attending this day to look at the cam instal who would be prepared to help me (read do most of the work) with my parts removal. I am hoping to have the extractors / cat back done by then, the OTRCAI removed (even I can do that :) ) so will only be looking at ripping off the PBR kit and swapping my original steering wheel back.
