Given that it will be a while until the VE Wagon/Ute comes out, does anyone know if Holden intend punching out a VZ series 3 wagon/ute/crewman just like they did with the VS when the VT came out?
At this stage I intend replacing my 04 crewman with a new one around the end of the year/early new year, and would obviously prefer to replace it with a late 06/07 plate vehicle (fitted with a 6.0 V8 of course).
Thanks in advance for any hot goss.

There isn't actually a confirmed series 2 VZ at this point!
I asked the fleet manager recently about updates, and was told there is nothing obvious at this point.

I'v heard it'll be called the VZE.
Apparently this is in place of having a VZII and is due out about October/November. That's all I've heard. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I did read somewhere the mention of VZE, although that might have just been a general code rather than the actual name of the model. Either way I think it is fairly definite there will be some sort of upgrade to the remaining VZ cars, and as there are so many versions still going (crewman wagon adventra, etc) I think the update might even be worth writing about.

I thought VZE is the internal code for VZ biult along side VE ( the current situation).

VE Ute is meant to be middle to late next year. No plans that i have heard of for an update before then.

I was going to ask the same qoestion soon.

Don't know if these are already the VZE changes but on www.holden.com.au they have updated the old models - new VE Colours available on all VZ models, and SV6 instead of S Utes. These also have different power levels now for auto and manual. Wagon V8 wagons have now disappeared. Wagons seem to keep the 172kw V6 according to the technical data.

The Cross 8 is gone, too. Wasn't this the only 4WD available with the L76 V8 in 2006?

There's more info about changes to VZ models in this press release from last month.

There's been all sorts of rumours of VE style front panels, VE style wheels, among other things, but apart from the usual running change things like some VE colours (for obvious reasons), don't expect too much. Word is Holden will keep the car pretty much as it is, but continue to price it pretty sharp to keep it attractive. With the lack of a new Ford model, why would they really bother until VE versions...??????
