I am chasing a louder exhaust than the original one I have which will give me more performance in a 2003 Vy Series 2 SS sedan. I want to deal with a really good provider who does nothing but quality jobs.
Can people please give me names and number and locations of people who I can go to? Also average costs would be great also.
Thanks

You could try Custom Exhaust in Brisbane (Meadowbrook) ph.07 32002333 the owner Trevor does nothing but quality exhausts even show cars makes his own extractors, S/S systems mandrel bent, he is a bit pricey. I have had 3cars done there and never had a problem afterwards. If you want a quality job then Trevor is your man.

Talk to Brad at Mr Muffler in Sumner Park. Current clients include Markone2, Big Jim in the T1000 Turbo Clubby, ME and quite a few more. Is an agent of Powertorque as well. Tell him VooDoo from LS1 sent you.

I'll second that recommendation for Brad. He's done heaps of work for me in the last 6 years or so.

Unfortunately I have had a couple of bad experiences there, so wouldnt recommend them. 1. steering knuckle not retightened, 2.very poor job done on extractors and cats that was rectified by Ultimate at Brendale.

Couldnt agree more. Say no to Rob Bliss, and either go to Ultimate Performance Exhaust at Brendale or Mr Muffler Sumner Park. Both have reputations for awesome quality work.

Thanks for the info. Had Id known earlier I would have gone to either one of those. Myself personally have no complaints. Maybe Im one of those abnormal people.
I know its off the topic but i'll throw in anyway: I redynoed my car today after gassing it. And well I lost 100hp/70kw at the wheels!!! Not very happy at all. The guy that did the dyno suspects the computer tune has been thrown out. Yeah sure the difference between LPG and petrol is only 5%...BUT 125rwkw(petrol)/115rwkw(LPG) down from 196rwkw now thats a problem!

Go with the flow. Brad at Mr Muffler at Sumner Park for me. They fitted my pacemakers for me and did a good job at a fair price.
The thing that took the cake though, was I was on a walking stick and rather than having to sit out in the lounge at the front of the shop they grabbed a plastic chair and plonked it in the workshop next to my car so I could watch the proceedings. How good is that?
I know where I will be going in the future and who I will recommend.

Another vote for Brad and the gang at Mr Muffler, Sumner Park :)
I recently had my previous cat back (noyzworx) replaced by a Mr Muffler twin 2.5". The old exhaust was so rooted that they had to re-do the pipes from the back of the cats.
The new exhaust is a work of art, sounds tougher and I reckon it's picked up a bit more low-midrange power.
I know where I'll be going in the future for any further exhaust upgrades!!!

From personal experience on my own ( unopened ) VY11 SS ute, which to date has had 4 seperate sets of extractors fitted ,13 different cat back exhaust combos, I have found the best extractors with most power and torque results were the Hi tech headers. They arent much to look ,at but gave me great results in non blown or huge cammed engines without undue stress on the wallet :)

Bliss Exhaust in Geebung, have had nothing but success from them with all of my cars since i started driving, realistically priced and good service, they wont try and sell you a $3000 system off the shelf, they listen to what you want instead and give advice from there. And if i have any problems (only once in the past) all you have to do is call and talk to Rob and he will sort it out right away for you.

I'd steer clear of Rob Bliss as well. Last time I was there I got a full system fitted to my wife's SSS Pulsar, only to be greeted in the arvo by one of the guys saying 'we had an accident with your car, but we'll fix it'!. ..... scratch across bonnet, smashed tail light and considerable panel damage to the passenger rear quarter panel. They couldn't tell me why, how, when, etc. but they did end up getting it fixed (by the roughest, dodgyest, cheapest panel shop (if you can even call it that) in Brisbane :banghead: ).
