hi all, just wondering which tuner has the most accurate dyno in melbourne, only because it seems the discussion of happy dynos floats around an awfull lot when you metion a decent figure (eg:245rwkw , tune/ exhaust combo). thanks for all opinions. Luke

G&D's dyno is pretty accurate (conservative - not a happy dyno) from all reports (inc mine). They're in Cranbourne. Matt and the guys are good too.

Will letting my tyres down to 22 psi f**k them, and how does this compare to slicks? Thanks:confused:

If you are after good times, i would get down to the track for a couple of meets, hang out with the boys pulling the numbers you want, and learn from them! Atleast you know if they are doing the times, there is no bullsh!t... Havnt meet a guy off Ls1.com.au that isnt happy to share what they have learnt about running the numbers...

What times would you expect with this set up, 6spd monaro, higgins otrcai, hm extractors, 2 1/2 dual exhaust, 222/224 @ 112 lsa, retainers and heavy duty valve springs, d/r timing chain, tune and some 3.9s. thanks guys

Can you drive? Hows your clutch? Ever run a car at Calder? Could be anything from a high 13 to a mid 11. Who knows?? Run it and find out.

At 1600km I got 190rwkw stock (A4) and with catback and conservative tune 214rwkw. Have now added extractors and 2 hole HSV airbox and have some metal substrate hi flow cats going on next week, so will then get the tune touched up and see what she reads.

Sorry, no idea on that other dyno........

on stock suspension, road tyres, stock clutch reving to 6500rpm? around 12.5 @ 115mph

You really need to go meet the boys doing the numbers... Personally, i find that people make it sound so 'easy' on the net, when in reality, a great deal of work goes into getting that 11 second time slip... Once you know what it takes, it is 'easy' :)

Well in regards to the Dyno figures:

*MPH will tell you all you need to know. Mine pulled 228rwks BOTS did a 12.7 on street tyres (no slicks or semi's) no stall.

With the modds that you have now you should run a mid to low 12 depending on how well you get of the line due to the fact its a 6sp.

Who tuned your car?

Have to say that I ran a slower ET with my street tyres let down (prior to cam anyway) I think the reason for this was that any gain in 60' time was lost at the other end of the track in mph. Experiment, try with normal pressure then try with lower.

Have you got a UDP? According to Markone2, and the other resident cam only experts, these are very useful to bring ETs down.

Will be putting a 25% udp on my set up in 2 weeks
