Heres HPF's new VE development car some would have seen this last night at Calder having some shakedown runs. Over all we were pleased with the result 11.3 @126 mph. We got some excellent data from a complete new chasis, suspension and tuning software.

We ran the car last night on radials on 10 psi boost the same setup we would run for the street we could have wound the boost up to show full potential but we will do this on other runs. The car has less than 100 ks on the clock

Kudos for being the first out there and running a time, well done

That power figure is on the standard fuel pump with no voltage tricks, even with the intake removed as on the dyno sheet we found there was no difference in the power. with intake connected or not. Just shows how good the design is.

Well done VXSS, VE owners have great modding options so soon. When you say radials, is that factory rubber? And also, what's the go with the single turbo setup and ur plates reading TT?

Unless you are going to put a cage in it I would say your testing is pretty close to done :bravo:
Well done guys!

We found the that a single turbo system on the VE is a neater cleaner package, Look at the engine bay when you put the engine cover on it looks stock. When the pipe work is finished and covers on you would be hard pressed to see the difference to a stock engine bay.
I originally wanted a TT when we got the car Rob felt it was a standout for a quality single turbo setup. HPF will be releasing these in a kit form.
Yes I wont be racing this much longer but I didnt buy this to race I have other cars for this.
In regard to development not all is done at the race track this is supposed to be for people that want a quality kit they can put on there car and is stealth completely.

Very cool indeed..
So is this essentially just a VE + single turbo.. what else.. std exhaust, std fuel pump you said.. that rocks.. what else was required or was that it?
:bravo: for getting it out there first too.
edit.. looks like some extra fuel line/injectors etc?

Pagey I will let Rob comment on the full details but I can confirm it was the standard fuel pump with larger injectors.
On my setup we will run a larger pump and fuel system as we can run more power to test the limits but basically the above is the limit on the stock fuel pump.

no worries.. can't belive that the std pump can still be used.. same as the other VE kit.. obviously an upgraded item from VZ --> VE.

great work getting it installed and to the track so quick... Whos first into the 10's with a VE?!?!
How much for this setup installed?
Stupid question, but, why is the dyno graph so bumpy?
Are there approvals?

Made first VE pass into 11s first run of the night off the trailer mph is there for a 10 sec pass.
Price see above comment re Rob HPF
HPF is the beta tester for Dyno Dynamics its new software
Approvals for what if you mean ADRs NOBODY has that on this forum for kits you can have each car engineered and certified but ADR approvals aint going to happen.

The only two real issues we had were grip and fuel so thats most likely what we will work on. Both of the above have simple remedies.

Well done, great Job and nice stealth look too.
Approvals.
with all the previous comments on approvals it might be worth explaining what the different approvals are
Any ballpark pricing

Darren you live thanks for comments Rob and Ian really put together a professional operation.
Pricing I will leave for Rob,
The tuning on these as Sam would know isnt quite as easy the software is still being developed. However HPF has managed to sort the issues on a boosted car in short time even though they arent the Beta tuners for this product.

Thats the reason this kit will be available completetly stealth, great power delivery but not in your face. Open the bonnet and you will be hard pressed to see any modifications,
All the existing plastic covers in engine bay are in place.
Let face it not everybody wants a performance package that shouts at you.

Congrat's to Garry and the guys at HPF! What ever which way you look at it, it's a great job to reel out performance like this so quickly in anyone's mind. Well done... :)

I was wondering if you guys could do a little experiment??
Can you run this car on full stock setup (tyres) to see what the limit of the new VE is? I would love to know if the new VE has more streetable power in its stock setup
I think the fastest time in a VT-VZ with 'true' street tyres is 11.8? can anyone confirm this? with the new suspension, fatter tyres i wonder if this 11.8 can drop...
I've watched 12.4's on true street tyres, but never seen any better than that, i can only recall talk of 11.8's, and that may well have been on 'special' street tyres...

My Gold car ran a 11.4 on 18 inch street tyres 3 years ago
From our testing so far we would be confident that we would run a mid to low 11 second pass on street tyres with practise on a 19 inch.
Technically speaking we ran a 11.3 pass at Calder on MT radial which is a street tyre.

there are a few 10 second cars on 'street tyres', i know this... guess i didnt put my point across re street tyres, i mean, standard street tyres that 99% of people use, the ones you buy at ANY tyre store, you know, normal street tyres? not MT/ET streets, not semi comps, just plane jane street tyres
All i want is to see what the limit of the VE is in complete stock form with only power mods, no special tyres, special suspension just insaine power verses stock car...

As far as DOT approved goes that passes here but what you will find is they dont meet the speed or weight rating of the vehicle, as per the placecard.

VX SS, i wouldnt worry about all the knockers. You've built it, gone out, done your testing and your happy with the results.
As for the street tyres argument, the "opposition" & many competitors are claiming Street tyre times from the same TYRE.
The "bitches" are being a little to predictable around here.

Hope no ones implicating me in the 'bitches class'
All going well, i will be driving a boosted VE SSV early next year (lease is running out :bounce: ). i will NOT be putting ET streets, or anything other than (what i call) normal street tyres... i would be happy to run 11 anything on standard street tyres, low 11's i would be over the moon
Still be interested to get an idea on price, ball park...

so did the beast see the track tonight?? i'd say perfect conditions for a blistering run ... cant wait to hear the results (if any)
We did take the VE out to Calder on Friday night.
It was a very busy night and we didn't get there until late and didn't have our first run until after the burnouts, so we only managed to squeze in 3 runs. We have made a few changes to the car including a new tyre combination for the rear, we have been really strugging with our 60' on the radials as this thing has so much torque..Even with the new tyre combo we where still wheel spinning all the way through first gear and I was have to short shift into 2nd.
The first run was a shake down - 11.6@116mph
Second run - 11.06@129mph
Third run - 11.1@129mph (Straight after the second as it was the end of the night)
We have gained a massive amount of data over the last few weeks on the VE and the turbo setup. The car is awsome to drive and has run perfect with the only failure so far being a drive shaft.
We will be taking it to Heatcote for the Holden Nationals next weekend so hopefully we will be rewarded with a 10 at that event.
