I drive a VZSS ute i normally have plenty of power, (extractors, twin system, CAI and an edit. the drama i have is when the auto kicks into second i drop heaps of revs making me drop power.
is this just a bad tune or something more?

normally with the tune they push the limiter in first up a tad so that when it changes to 2nd it puts it more in the powerband and hence its not as much of an issue compared to unedited... not sure if that helps at all

Thanks, The problem is that i can be sitting on 5500rpm when i change up and still feels like i've lost a hundred hp

someone else might answer this beter but isnt 5500 to early for the auto to be changing up?? i thought it was meant to be abit higher than that, if thats the case then that might be the problem. are you saying under WOT it changes to 2nd at 5500?? just so there arent any misunderstandings.
And its not strange to feel such a difference in power between 1st/2nd, when 2nd builds up revs at around 3.5-4k you'll find it pulls well

WOT changes up at 5500-5700 if left in third, i can hold it out longer if i manual change but still it drops like no ones business.

Stock stall? Stock gears? Stock shift points?

Sounds like just the wide ratio gap between first and second. 3.06 to 1.63.
Maybe midrange torque is not strong enough or your expectations are too high.
Lowering the diff ratio will help mask that.

all stock, not sure shift points are changed whilst tuning aren't they?
