My son want's to buy a good second hand computer, he was going to get one of ebay but figured he might get better value else where.

As there is a large number of IT guru's here I figured someone might have enough parts to put something together for him at a reasonable price.

I could but I sold all my parts off recently so I only have a case and maybe a small hard drive, thats about all.

He wants to spend about $250.00 maybe a little bit more.

We would prefere Brisbane pickup or surrounds.

Could you please post your offers and specs, thanks.

if you have a health care card try greenpc.com.au.

Naa we don't, we could buy him one. But he has his own money from working and wants to buy his own.

Thanks anyway.

I bought three Dell desktops off ebay early this year. 1.7 gig, 40 gig hard drive keyboard, optical mouse and 15" LCD monitor. $280 each. They haven't missed a beat and they came from Brisbane. I think ebay is still a good option.

I stuck wireless cards in them and they are perfect for the kids to access the web.

We have revisited Ebay since starting this post. I believe we have found a couple of options for him, he just has to make a desicion on which one.

Mods you may close this thread now. Thank you.
