I bought one when I purchased the new LCD Tellie.
Far better than the Onkyo Universal Remote that I have, this unit is progammed via USB from a massive database of devices on the Logitech web site, but also has a port for learning new commands. The display is motion activated and uses a Lithium Ion battery with base charger. A 12 hour charge lasts a week. The LCD interface is the trick and provides easy identification of the devices and functions that would not be easily accessable through a conventional Universal Remote.
It also runs macros i.e. turn the tellie to a preset, fire up the AV reciever, dvd player and the air conditioner with one press of a button.
Has a stack of options and takes a few hours to setup.
Round the $220 mark

It takes a while to setup Haroc.
When you plug the remote into the USB, the installed software takes you to your own settings page on the Logitech website. When you download your device config it sets the 'hard buttons' for each device as you would expect. But it populates the LCD display with EVERY option avalable for that device, so you can finish up with 12 pages per device of LCD to scroll through. Not good.
Thats where it takes some time, trimming out the stuff that you would rarely use and would probaly use the original remote if you had to.
The website stores your personal settings and and you can flash the remote again with revised settings rather than having to start from scratch.
It's excellent

This sounds like what I need, I had a universal remote before but it was a real pain and the missus couldn't work it anyway.

we have 5 remotes for Tv + 1 for stereo but will have a PS 3 when they are released makes it 6 remotes .

i may stop by a powerhouse tomorrow and have a look at one.

cheers

I have had the Harmony 880 for a while and it's nothing short of fantastic. All of my family have gone out and bought one for their place after coming around and seeing mine in action. Used to have 6 remotes, now have one, and NEVER need to go back to using the old remotes for anything.
