How tight are some people? Read on.
I bought this front VZ bar on ebay a few days ago for $60, advertised as "near perfect". I go to pick it up, the thing is scratched beyond comprehension, the photos on ebay were obviously touched up. I forwned but loaded the bar in the van anyway.
The guy doesn't have change from $70, hinting he wants the whole lot as in his opinion it's worth much more then $60 and I'm already getting a bargain. <queue laughter at this point>. I say "here's $55 and I'll Paypal the last $5". He refuses it as he's going to incur fees from Paypal. (It's something like $1.50 to get the amount into your bank account??)
I get annoyed at this point and ask if the massive scratches are worth the $5 in question to him, as the ad was obviously misleading. He insists the bumper bar is indeed near perfect and that the ad described it as such. <histerical laugh at this point>.
Now I'm pissed off and return the bar to him saying it's not as described and I don't want it any more. He says that he needs to cover his ebay fees and wants $5 for compensation before returning the $70 I've given him. Ok... :flipoff:
Ok, visibly pissed off I give him the $5, ffsake I don't want to talk to you or see you ever again. Thinking, good luck with your life must be hell for you living every day having to spend money to sustain life.
Now to top it all off... I log on to ebay and the guy has filed an "unpaid item -- mutual agreement" so that he can double dip on the fee reimbursement.
He's violated several ebay rules with this. Frankly I couldn't be arsed to raise this issue as I've already spent time dealing with this moron, but it's the principle of a thing :) Of course there's many ways of dealing with this problem. The serbian way :shiner: or the polite way :yup: What should prevail, I wonder.
