Nice Purchase mate!!

I recently picked up a Marantz 7.1 amp and Jamo 7.1 speakers. I've never had a decent surround sound system before and i'll never be with out one again!! :yup:

It's particularly funny when the dog wakes up and goes off his head because it sounded like a mortar shell rocketed over head!!

Enjoy your purchase. You'll never look back at a CRT TV again :)

Regards,

Darren

yeah need dvd etc with at least 5.1 encoded to get the effects, can simulate 6.1 on 5.1 dvds etc.

stereo need to bring in the effects enhancing modes.

one of the best was one of the recent star wars scenes, forget which episode just recall the great effects.

not as good as the mentioned plasma setup (dammit I'm gelous) but I thought I'd show my Bathurst setup for Sunday

It took hours (of paid work time) to find this bloke, no one hires projectors to the average home user.

Overall $150 for 2 days hire which is projector, cables and 2.8 x 2.8 meter screen. works out fairly cheap when you divide it by 4 people and consider its a different experience to what we've had in the past.

But last week the guy rang me, hes going on holidays so we could have it for a week and a day for the weekend price! So far its survived the AFL and NRL Grand Finals, 4 or 5 movies, the 2005 Bathurst review DVD, V8 Supercars Greatest Hits Vol 3, plus the odd TV Show. Ive clocked up 15 hours on it already and Bathurst telecasts havent even started!

The pic doesnt do it justice, to the right is the 68cm TV (difficult to see though).

I'm looking forward to Sunday!

I went and gave Harvey Norman some good mods cash for the same package. Got to keep the misses happy. And it'll be great for Sunday.
