HPF October Update

[HP-F]

Here’s the October update from the HPF workshop. We currently have many short and longterm project cars and we thought we’d keep everyone informed on their progress.

Single turbo VE:
The VE will be out at Calder again this Friday (29th Sept). We’re hoping to run 10’s. After Friday we’ll be focusing on street testing the single turbo setup on the VE. We’ll be developing the durability of the kit before we sign-off on the final spec’s of the kit.

OZIGTO:
Nearly all the parts are in. We’re just waiting on the ARE dry ice intercooler. All we need to do now is fabricate all the components. Our biggest restriction is finding time to do it all.

Tryhard:
Is back for preparation for Summernats. Back to back titles is the aim.

BLO402:
Is also back together. Will be running soon in BOSS trim. The car now has a bigger stall convertor and we’ll be aiming for low 11’s.

Is BLO402 going to be back together for HP Heroes again this year. That was my favourite car in the dyno cell last year. The only car I had to block my ears for when it was under WOT!
What changes for tryhrd are planned?

The guys at HPF just tuned a mates VZ SSZ with a Higgins Head and Cam Package that we fitted along with a dual 3in system, 1-3/4 4 into 1's and a OTRCAI.

Its a auto and thru the std converter it made 297kw at the wheels.

The owner is still get 10l per 100km out on the highway.

The thing runs absolutely perfect, for the size cam it has i was suprised at how tame it idles, nearly too smooth.

Hats off to the guys at HPF.

And nathan for his great heads and cam.

How big are those tyres under the monaro, they look huge ??

I actually got the chance to see these guys in action whilst helping us develop the triple plate Textralia Exo-Skel…

You know, many people may see my post as an infomercial (I don't care) because I simply can’t congratulate these blokes from HPF enough for their fine achievements.

After spending time in their workshop at the cutting edge, all I can do is; :bow:

Awesome workshop and great blokes who certainly know their stuff and do it right!!!!!!

To respond to some of the questions..

TRYHRD is back after having a 4 link rear end fitted and is ready for further testing and then a engine freshen-up before the Nats.

The HP-F yellow Monaro has been retired permanently:bawl:

BLO 402 will be at this years Summernats. However I think we are going to run out of time on OZIGTO.

The granite ute is out there but the stage 2 HP-F twin turbo kit pumpin out a lazy 700rwhp makes it look a whole lot better.

We are going to make a big effort to keep this monthly update going, as we are constantly reminded by people seeing what we are working on, how many cool projects go through our shop that no body ever knows about.
