g'day
wondering what peoples thoughts on this are. and if they can see any issues with fitting them.
some of the wheels on the new bmw X5's look hot, they are the same stud pcd and wheel offset is very similar (i think +48)
would a set of these fit on a vx ss? mines already set-up for 20's... i recon they would suit the car personally, could anyone do a potochop if i supply pics? 1st pic are 20's and second are 19's.

Im pretty sure that the pcd will allow it to fit but im not sure if the offset will allow it to. Maybe wheel spacers?
I have seen in another forum ( a four letter word type) that they have put ford territory wheels on low profile rims on a few falcons. Looks ok but not my cup of tea. each to their own i guess.

mm yea i understand, would be something different tho. hsv wheels are awesome but really common, and 99% of aftermarket brands are pretty fugly and i cant seem to find a wheel i like.
offset of the fronts of those wheels are the same as commo ones i am pretty sure

You'll be fine - provided the offset is Ok, any wheel made for a 5 series or an X5 will fit the Commodore wheel PCD and hub size.
The 7 series has the same PCD but the hub diameter is larger.
Try for 2nd hand rims - new ones will cost around $4500 with tyres - and make sure they aren't bent or take the new run-flat tyres (I've heard run flats are $1100 a tyre).
Cheers

My friend bought a set of Simmons FR18's for his VL Turbo off this guy who had them on his '88mdl Beemer. So I know for those models the stud pattern is the same.
There's some BMW rims that look very similar to the VZ Clubby 19" rims which I have always been tempted to put on a commo. Just can't justify the different look vs the actual cost of the rims.

the rims on the blue x5 would look hot on a commo ... they cave in similar to the CV8Z/SSZ rims and would really make it stand out if the car is slammed

Would the rim width be a problem?
Im not sure on rim size but they must be 9-10" because they have 255-275 tyres on them.
Would look good but:yup:

yea they are the ones i am keen on. the good thing is that they would look awesome on a commo but it wouldnt really click to people what they were off. and they come in a decent size (20")

i think the fronts have the right offset for a commo, +48? still have enough dish in them to look good though. backs wouldnt fit thats obvious from the pic.

My X5 has a BMW optional rim, not sure on the width but the front has 275s/20s and the rear 315/20s. HUGH LOL :bounce:
I think the M5 rim in the e39 series is a different offset and maybe also has a different pdc, this might also apply to the E60 5 series.

How about the 6-series wheels? I reckon they look awesome:

Not a bad price, includes 4 run-flats.
Anyone know if the rims will accomodate normal tyres to replace the run-flats?
