Well the price war hasn't hit the Maloo's( since i guess there is no VE Maloo)
I paid $ 63000 way back when they first came out - 2004, and i was the first one in Queensland to get one.
Mate they are a top ute, have fun
Cheers

It might also help by telling us which City you are in. A lot of people can then recommend a good salesman to talk to get a good deal.

I believe I have seen a red one in the commercial yard at Zupps Mt Gravatt. If you are keen let me know as the Zupps are family friends.
Zupps have about 11 Maloo R8's in stock I think...
Those discount new car adds are for VZ1 and VZ6 not MAZ2 (latest)

hey yeah i get my new black 6.2 litre maloo next month it was $61000 but after a few extras and on road costs it was a tad over $69000. shouldve fricken waited until the series 2 comes out cause there fixing the driveline problem and putting the new T6060 gear box in em bringing torque to 580NM and power to 330KW which is awesome but being only 19 i think its good enough for now cant wait to pick it up been waiting for over 2 months
yeah im getting mine from zupps but alot are the 6 litres and a few are peoples orders there a blue one at the moment but its auto

i don't know about that.....
depends on your method of payment...
you see if you paid for it in full with cash and have no debt what so ever, then yes, it would feel good being 19 and driving a 65k ute...
but, if you needed to see the finance man and put your balls on the line for 5 years to get a car you're prolly paying $300+ a week for then i don't think it would feel quite so good... or if you're faced with the prospect of cheap payments now, big baloon payment in 5 years then not good either...
taking out 30k is bad enough... i couldn't do 60 or 70 though... specially not at 19!!!
good on ya though anyway...

"330KW & 580NM", whilst sounding quite feasible, is news to me, & has never been mentioned by anyone on this forum before.
So,what makes you think that this is the "next step", & when do you think it will occur?
Cheers, Pickles.

And what was "the driveline problem" they've (supposedly) fixed?

For my LS3 R8 Ve Maloo due for delivery August 2008 I paid $67200 drive away. I took the auto, 20" GTS rims and leather option paint is Karma. The dealer is also suppling the $100 to have my personal plates put on, VE mobile phone platform, sports slimline tinted weathershield right and left and 100ml of Karma colour touch up paint.
