Does Holden recommend the types of Mobiles suitable for the bluetooth system in the VE or is any Bluetoooth phone comapatable ? Nothing mentioned in the manual

It should work with any phone that can use a blue tooth hands free. If you have voice dialing features on the phone its even better.

Any phone with bluetooth should work. I have used a Nokia and a Sony Ericsson and they both work fine.

Holden have a listing available via the Dealer Web Centre of models tested.
Some phone models features wont work, some have a little echo, but basically the basic functions of Bluetooth will work. Most phones tested allow full use of features and have no issues to report.
This listing isn't specific to VE, just testing Bluetooth compatability to Holden's standards.

Here is a PDF of the VE bluetooth testing comapatable phone list.

You will have to wait until tomorrow to download it (http://www.haroc.1337thing.com/ls1/dickie knee/bluetooth/holden ve bluetooth.pdf)

Could you host it somewhere everyone can get at it?

Maybe www.yousentit.com

Any phone with Bluetooth technology should work. Bluetooth is a standard frequency so as long as your phone can transmit it, the VE system should be able to receive it. The only thing you might need to be aware of is the Bluetooth software version that the VE is using. I would expect it to be 1.2 or higher given it has just been released. The difference being that some features on your phone (such as voice dialling) may not be compatible with the VE's bluetooth. Normal handsfree should work nonetheless.

Motorola flip phone. Think it's a V3 Razor (or something like that) works welll. People on the other end have also commented on clarity. Haven't tried the voive call yet due to the fact that I have never read the motorala manual hence don't know how to set the phone up
