Every time I log on here theres a message at the top that says
" Hello SandmanUte it appears you have not posted on out forums for several weeks blah blah blah"
The reason I haven't is because half the time I write replies etc and get a message that I'm not authorised. Then all that I've wasted my time writing gets scrapped.
But when I look at the bottom of the page in the box that tells you what you can and can't do it says I am authorised to reply and write new posts.
What goes on here?????

You will get this message for 1 of 2 reasons:
1. You are trying to reply to a thread that has been closed
2. In the time you took to construct your reply, the system logged you out of the forums due to session cookies.
In the case of being logged out, the solution is to click Logout. Then log back in remembering to tick the "Remember Me" checkbox. This will keep your session alive until you manually logout or delete the cookies from your system.

It wasn't a long reply. How long does it take to log you out??
Also , if I was logged out, why was I able to write this new thread??
I have asked before about being validated, but seeing I live so far out in the country, I don't know anyone out here that is a member on this forum and if there was they would probably be in the same boat as me.
The only person that knows me on here is Mark from Powertorque as he tuned my C'dore. But I don't want to ring him at work bothering him about this.

Did you try the solution I mentioned before replying to see if it worked?
Trust me ... If you weren't trying to post to a closed thread, then session cookies are the cause. There are a few threads already in the Help section on this (logging out).
Validation is another story altogether. You can only be validated if 2 members vouch for you. Whether or not to contact someone who might give you your first nomination is up to you. The second one may just require a little more effort to obtain - we have members in Emerald and Toowoomba. People have travelled further than that to be validated before :yup:

Toowoomba is 350ks from Roma, although I go go down through there from time to time. How do I find someone in Toowoomba thats validated?
