NT's new rural default speed limit is 110km/h.
Key NT highways will have 130km/h speed limits. This mirrors a recent Texas US 80mph sign-posted speed limit adopted in that state for its rural roads.
Other changes are a demerit points system as part of the national model, increased speed and traffic fine levels, etc and so on.
