Hi Guys maybe you can help even though you are in Oz :stick: maybe sponsers could help?
Do you know of good tunners in the lower north island around wellington area that I could trust to do an edit on the clubbie? I have looked into a couple that say they can do it but would like to know if you recomend anyone. Guys in NZ have any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Mike,
Not sure if you got any answers.
I co-ordinate the NZ HSV Owners Club here in Wellington. Not many of our member's car are stock, including mine, so between us would be able to provide some interesting info fo you.
Get my details off hsvclub.com if you want to touch base and/or find out more about the club.
Cheers,
DPHSV

:slap: Sheep power indeed!
Laugh all you want with your nice VZ R8, sunny climate with the babes and theme parks... hang on a sec! Doh!
Fair to say we certainly don't have the wealth of options you guys enjoy when it comes to go-faster bits.

Would be great to have an efi live or ls1edt tuner in wellington. Damn need one for my car.
Gordie (TheWarden) wont have any info for you.
Only options at this stage are TorquePerformance or Eastern Automotive - both in jafa land.

There is a great place in Christchurch as well. Let me know if you want the details. It's about as far as away as Jafa land and this guy certainly knows his stuff.

What about www.nzsv.co.nz in palmerston?
Im not sure if they are any good, Ive just seen their site. You might want to ask for references first.
You can also contact the efilive guys based in Ak who might know. Try andrew@efilive.com he can even set you up with a starter tune and the kit if DIY takes your fancy

Was just about to say the same thing about tuners. Not much that cant be done by either of those two places. Or, I know a guy that specialises in performance tuning on the Shore
Jafa land... I didnt know what a "jafa" was when I came here 10 years ago from the Naki.... Now I guess I am one

Reading Steve's post (Sid447) in your "oil in manifold" thread sounds like you need rings more than a tune Bro :hide:
North Island guys send a PM to johnv for his recommendations, he'll know the pick of the tuning workshops....

heard good feed back about him too, spoke to him as well, good guy. does not use efi live. mike harris at harris marine in christchurch has efi live if you need anything flashed or fixed..he does not typically do performance tunes but could get anyone out of trouble etc.

Torque Performance is the go in NZ , Robyn is a really nice down to earth bloke , we speak about tuning isues regularly and exchange knowledge.
He is very committed to what he does and has been tuning for a long time on all sorts of EFI computers , not just a flash in the pan exhaust tuner that has bough software. ( that is not a reference to any NZ tuner but the general industry tuners that has sprung up in the last few years )

I concur. It is not unusal for Robyn to work on cars from all over NZ. Personally I would consider a 7 hour drive worth it

It is worth the drive :) , remember you will be spending more than 7 hrs using the tune over the life of the car , a poor tune will be something you are stuck with for a long time

yep - but its 7 hours up, 7 hours back, plus a day up there I guess, so it also makes it a 3 day trip.
definitely a gap in the market here! We neeeeeed a tuner in Wellington!
