Anyone know the difference between the 235kw Calais and the 250kw SS & SV8 in VY & VZ?
Was it just the computer?

Slightly better exhaust and an improvement on the tune according to Holden.

I would say that its the exhaust only (from single to twin system).Doubt very much that they would have different states of tune,...HSV maybe but not Holden. My assumptions are based on the 235kw to 250kw variants in VZ only as VY would have a different tune due to the old cable throttle system.
Cheers
Chris.

They do change the tune between models, they all have the same LS1 and have milked it from 220kw to 260kw. Download a copy of EFILive and some base tunes and compare them, very interesting.

VY's were 235 in the Calais and 245 in the SS's (maybe only serries 2 VY's that had the 245kw's? Im not sure). The only difference that the dealers said was the "sports twin system exhaust" on the SS.
The VZ's went up to 250 on the SS's but I dont know what power the Calais had in the VZ serries.

No worries. My VY 2 Calais now has CAI, Exhaust, 3.73's and an Oztrack mafless tune.
Feels like a good power increase. I'm sure my economy is worse now though.
I will be going to the dyno day in Canberra on the 15th to give it a whirl :)
