If you got the earlier pedals you will need to drill holes in the pedal and force the rubber through the holes if you got the new one's i got no idea

I put the ss ones on mine which mount the same as the hsv ones neway but i had to get holden to do it in my service because i couldnt get the role pin out. But even if you get it out you'll struggle to get it back in anyway so just take it to holden they ddint even charge me anything to put it on anyway.

when I installed the VY/VZ (I assume "newer" type) into the Adventra ...
Foot rest just unscrew original, screw new one
Brake Pedal - take off original rubber pedal and squeeze on new one. Took about an hour, a butter knife and a whole lot of struggle to get the rubber lip over the pedal. Some suggest warm water to soften the rubber, others reccomend the butter knife, play with it a bit
Accelerator pedal - had to remove the assembly to do it. Unplug the wiring loom that goes to it. Then theres 4 nuts, I had to get a socket in there and be patient. Once undone the whole pedal assembly shifted up from memory, and came out. The pin is an absolute bastard to try and get in to the new pedal. I had to file a tad out of the new pedal then force the pin in, but once its in it wont go anywhere! Although this is for the alloytec coz its got electronic throttle. Plus getting the spring on is difficult, it took me and dad quite some time, and some beer, over a footy game on TV one night to achieve it.
As for older Ecotecs and I assume LS1's, I've looked at my VX because its a job I'll get around to doing one day. The foot rest and brake seem the same, but I still reckon I'm going to have to unbolt the throttle cable and remove the pedal assembly which looks like a few nuts.
Trust me, with the pedal out its a hell of alot easier to get both the spring on and right, then to get the pin through. Ive got no idea how people manage to get an entire new pedal onto the stalk without removing the whole assembly, it was difficult enough with 3 hands in there and being able to spin it round and upside down.

Same as Y2KGoofball for me fitting to a WK Statesman but instead of taking off the accelerator I cut the "nubs" off the HSV pedal replacement and put some epoxy on the surface of the opedal and slipped the rubber round the edges...much easier as I'm pretty lazy...

I put the VY SS pedals on my VX and for the accelerator i couldn't get the pin out so ended up just sort of flexing the old pedal over one end of the pin and then sliding it off using a flat blade screw driver. I didn't care if it broke at that stage but eneded up getting it off in one piece. The new alloy pedal was much stiffer and couldn't flex as much so I filed a bit off the bit on the back and ended up getting it on with a lot of effort. I don't think I could get it off again if I wanted. That split pin just wouldn't budge even with the old pedal off so I had a good grip on it.

If You Take Trims Out Above The Pedal And Unclip It From The Acc Cable Under The Dash And Remove The Second Pin Just Take Note How The Spacers And Spring Work Which Is Far Easier And Pull The Whole Arm And Pedal Out And Work In A Vice You Will Find It Heaps Easier

i may have missed something but, mine was the type that you have to drill 2 holes in the accelerator pedal using the template, i actually used a drill 1mm over size of recomended, pulled the lugs through with a set of pliers... happy ending.

Read the box...it tells you everything you need to know.
I got mine on just fine; doesn’t anyone around here have any ingenuity or intelligence?
I’m sure if you want to give Holden your wallet they can do it for you.:whip:

Do these HSV pedals allow for heel/toe downshifting? I have been searching for an solution here in the states, but have only found one and the pedal was only for the accelerator. It's ugly to boot. I'd like to have a set that matches.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

HSV ones come in a box with the templates for drilling on the backing cardboard.
I drilled and fitted them in the car without removing the accelerator with the help of a can of silicon spray and a trusty butter knife :driving:
