No more bling bling for me

Hi,

I love the LS1 commodores. I have a black VT2 SS, 6pd with the usual bag of tricks, 232rwkw. I recently put a dazzling set of 18 inch chromies on it for some bling bling. But now its gets so much attention, now I cant bloody park it anywhere. The Mrs has a real problem with me not wanting to park it anywhere. I have had some trouble in the past with cars and people nicking them so thats why im very cautious now. So with some arm twisting my the mrs, I have agreed to change the wheels for some less attention grabbing set.

What is a nice set of wheels I can put on the car that still enable you to park the car everywhere and pass the women test, im thinking 18 inch VZ SS or maybe Monaro CV8-R. Do people pinch these wheels too? I also need to get the wheels passed through the women check (customs as I call it).

If anyone wants my chromies they are $1150, wheels and tyres as new, Cost me $2400, PM me for Pictures, give me an email address. etc.

Mate, people will pinch stock VT2 SS rims. My solution is park it on your front lawn and chain a big F@#$ off dog to the diff.

Hence the reason I have 9 year old VT SS rims on my car.

I'd love a flashy set of wheels ... but would prefer to remain somewhat anonymous. The old faithfuls do the job, then I plow the money saved by having 17's, back into having top quality rubber on them.

I was entertaining the thought of having the silver sprayed in shadow chrome ... but havent done any photochopping to see how it'll look yet

I also dont park it in public or go to the shops. Two sets of locked doors to get into the garage at home and the same at work.
Then not going out helps.
But i'm not paranoid ... honest

I reckon the VZ SS rims would look great. Personally, I like the ones that were fitted to the early 5.7 litre version. The later ones were nice and chunky, but because they are so closely associated with the Monaro, I'd rather have the earlier ones on an SS sedan. Would make the VT SS look 6 years newer.

That's what happens when you dress her like a showgirl, people want to have a look...then take her home to meet their mother...then sell her down the pub for a pint and a durrie...;)
