air con not woking

hey guys my air con dosnt come through at idle but when i take off it comes through again,its a vt ss gen 3 with a cam would it be the cam not giving much vaumn at idle to keep the shutters open if so how do i fix

I would think you have a vacuum leak under the dash , at idle when vac is low it cant keep up , but as the vacuum comes back it starts to work again.

Also look at the check valve behind the manifold as the culprit as well.

Bingo.

Unless a hose has been left off somewhere, this is more than likely.

Very common in VR-VS when new - the one-way valve used to pack up and the ventilation would go to the screen under acceleration.

just checked the check valve can still blow through one end suck through the other might have to pull the dash apart

Yeah u will have to pull the dash off and look at your heating core, cos that could be coroding and the same thing happened to me accept my hole air con and heating did not work at all.
