Haha suckers...

Anyways, I must have a little rant as I am getting sick of it.

Yesterday after working a 10 hour shift and being awake for over 24 hours, I ventured home along the freeway. Now the freeway changes from 80km/h to 100km/h when heading north after Powis St exit (for people that live in perth should know).

So I take note of the changing limit and proceed to speed up to 100km/h and set my cruise control for the journey. But I can't, everyone else is doing 90km/h. "Why?" you might be thinking. It wasn't raining, there weren't many cars and there wasn't an accident. Because a police car was doing 90km/h and no-one had the balls to actually do the limit.

Now I am really tired and all I want to do is get home and sleep. So I wait for an opening, get into a free lane and do the limit. Set my cruise control and I pass the cops. Now I look in the rear vision mirror and the expression on other people's faces is priceless. The expression is "OMG Your f***ed now", but no, the police didn't speed up to pull me over, and they didn't even so much as glance at me.

So as I'm nearing my exit, I look once more in the rear vision mirror to see that NO-ONE has dared pass the police and are still sitting behind. I shake my head in disbelief as I pass other cars who have noticed that the 5-0 are on the road.

Now my rant is that you will NOT get pulled over if you do the speed limit. This isn't the first time its happened, and it certainly won't be the last. But for ****s sake just do the limit at least when the blue lights are around.

I got home at 9.45am cranky as a bitch and had bugger all sleep. I started work at 8pm last night and finished at 7am this morning. Its been a long couple of days but I feel so much better now. Oh and if your wondering why I posted this today than rather yesterday, is because it happened today also...

/end rant

Yes it happens all the time. I think some of the boyz in blue do it for a laugh. Sit just under the limit. I always pass them at the limit and usually people just sit behind. I think its amusing.

I know what you are saying it is quite humorous to watch people sit behind the police. It is a different story though when they sitting on exactly the speed limit you then don't want to pass but at 90kph I would , but I also don't want them to look at my car passing and think mmmm looks very low and sounds quite loud lets have a closer look.

same thing here in brisbane, all people need to see is a white car with some blue marking and on the anchors they go.

2 weeks ago the bruce highway heading to brisbane was at a crawl near the narangba exit as 1 squad car and a bike were on the shoulder standing staring at the grass on the hill, 2kms away from where I slowed to 60!

I dont pass them as they'll notice the 20inch chromies tucked under the guard spinning away. Then they'll pull me over and try and defect me for alot of small things and measure my ride height and then let me go because they cant find anything. Then 10-15 minutes later im on my way.

Meanwhile if i had of been going 10km/h less i would be home already.
