VU ss major servicing?

Hey guys its time for a service!

I had a quick look at all the fluids and its all extremely crap!
everything needs to be bled out !

I have a VU ss ute Gen3 ls1

What really needs attention.?

obviously

Engine oil
Brake fluid
Clutch fluid?
Power steering fluid
coolant

fuel filter?
fan belt?


what else can i expect to have changed. its the 110,000 km service.

Im getting it serviced at my Mazda rotary mechanic. and he needs to know what parts to order for me.

Have you got the vehicle manual still? From memory its just a standard service. But check your manual as that will list everything your Holden dealer would do.

Oh and possinly at 110 or 120 (I forget) they suggest/will do a coolant change.

120 thou is the major service not 110. 110's just a normal service

They're every 40 though for the major services, 40 80 120 etc etc.

Look at the service manual, the 110,000 km service coupon & also look at the 10,000 kms marks which is before the service coupons.

Make up your own mind on what you want done as it's your ute & your money your spending.
If you feel that your ute needs it, then do it.

Like for instance, you may want to change your coolant, but holden say every 5 years it must be changed.

I've just run over my 70,000 kms mark & i may change my spark plugs, but i don't need them changed until 80,000 kms. These spark plugs have never ever caused me any problems at all.

So as i said, read both sections & then decide!
