Do yourself a favour and check out sureflo exhaust. They are a forum sponsor so you should have no problem finding them. Greg and his team have done a lot of work on the type of exhaust you want. There is a good chance they will have a system that they can ship up to you for local fitting. spend a little time and check out the collection of sound files on his site. You should find the sound you want there.

Well I have a full Berkley from cat back and to be honest I don't think I would have fitted it known what I know now.

I seams to be restrictive and possible holds the tune back as per the comments of the guy tuning my vehicle " It just sounds right hasnt got that Gen111 bite"

I phoned Berkley and I was told that I should try removing the last section and replace it with their Power pipe section (first bloody time I hear of this) it is just two pipes with a flange and tips it actuall takes place of the large muffler at the very rear.

The front section ( BS9586 ) is good the last section (BS9587) from what I can gather is the problem.

Hi-Flow steel cats (TCC856) are suppose to be among the top gear in Hi-Flow Cats.

Anyway hope I may have helpped you out.

Cheers

Oh! yer by the way mine is an Auto VY2 SS Sedan ended up with 228rwkw. I have Pacemake Try-Y's and a HSV 285 air box with K7N pannel filter that it for my mods so far.

Thanks for the info Guys. Have decided to order all pacemaker and pay the mechanic to fit as i intend on getting it blown so my theory is to do it right first time.

All i have to do now is find a cai and tune till it gets blown when i finsh my next stint at work then i'll be happy..

I got a Berkley exhaust on a car a few years back. Although it was only a straight 6, it had the full length extractors and I was getting a "sport" 2" system. The car never really went as well I thought it should and it took a couple of years and the muffler collapsing to find the reason why. The "sports" muffler they used had a 2" inlet and a 2" outlet, but had 1 1/4" pipes inside..... Don't know what they are like now, don't intend to find out any time soon.

Mate if you are chasing an of the shelf system you can’t go past Pacemaker TRI Y's and a 2 ½” Redback twin cat back. Use your standard cats but get them opened up when fitting the system. Very reasonably priced, decent note and no fitting issues on the VY

Lots of members using this set up in Brisbane. Combine that with a decent OTRCAI and a Power Torque tune and depending on your engine look at high 220's to high 230's. My VY in that config pulled 237 RWKW
